Explore Academic Programs - Histology

Histologic Laboratory Technology (HT) is the study of the microscopic anatomy of cells and tissues. Histology is an essential tool of biology and medicine since accurate diagnosis of cancer and other diseases usually requires histopathological examination of samples. Successful clinical laboratory students should have a strong interest in science, anatomy and physiology and genetics and excel at tasks requiring attention to detail and problem-solving capacity.

HT classes cover a variety of subjects including Introduction to Histology, Histotechnology I, II and II, Functional Histology I and II, immunohistochemistry and cytology. The program involves 760 clinical hours which will help our students master the field of histology.
