Emergency Medical Technology

CTC offers one of only 51 accredited Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic programs in Texas. The program includes both an Associate degree option and a Certificate of Completion option.  CTC EMS Program is also one of the very few programs in the nation that offers a Military Articulation Paramedic program (MAPP).

The fast-growing field of histopathology, the microscopic study of diseased tissue, is an important part in the accurate diagnosis of cancer and other diseases. Successful histology students should have a strong interest in science, anatomy and physiology and genetics and excel at tasks requiring attention to detail and problem-solving capacity.

Massage Therapy

A career in massage therapy gives you freedom and flexibility. Massage therapists work through all stages of life from pre-natal and infant massage to geriatric and hospice massage and even to animal massage. Massage therapy is found in many healthcare settings – hospitals, chiropractic offices, wellness centers and nursing home and in a wide variety of venues from spas to cruise ships.

Medical Laboratory Technology

Clinical laboratory testing plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and as a laboratory professional you will be instrumental in this process. Successful clinical laboratory students should have a strong interest in science, chemistry, or biology, and excel at tasks that require attention to detail and problem solving capacity.

A certificate/degree though the Central Texas College Mental Health Services (MHS) department prepares you to work with individuals, children, families and couples to encourage healthy lifestyles and healthy families. You will learn utilizing a multimodal and experiential approach to foster success in the human services field.

With projected employment growth of 36 percent in the medical office technology fields, the CTC Office Technology department is excited to help prepare students to enter this industry. Whether your goal is to be knowledgeable in a variety of medical office skills or focus on a specific skill set like medical coding, billing or medical documentation, an exciting career awaits!

The field of nursing requires dedication and discipline to become a professional. CTC offers a licensed vocational, an articulation bridge, and a registered nursing program.

 

Phlebotomy

As a phlebotomist, you can serve a vital role in the relationship between patients and their treatment teams. A phlebotomist serves patients by identifying the best method for retrieving specimens, preparing specimens for laboratory testing and performing screening procedures.

Clinical Medical Assistant

As a Clinical Medical Assistant, the student will be trained to help the physician carry out procedures, care for patients, perform basic lab tests and administer medications. The Clinical Medical Assistant works in a physician's office or a clinic setting.
