The Department of Agriculture at Central Texas College currently offers an Associate in Science (AS) Degree in Agriculture, an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree with specializations in Equine Management, Horticultural Development, and Agricultural Production, and a Certificate Program in Agriculture Technology.
The associate degree is a 2-year program designed so the student can transfer course hours to a 4-year university. The 2-year AAS degree program and the 1-year Certificate program are designed to provide specialized training with a "hands-on" approach to learning.
The Department of Agriculture manages a 360-acre Livestock Center. The Livestock Center includes newly designed horse stalls, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, cattle production facilities, tillable cropland, and pasture/rangeland for both the equine and bovine herds.
The Agriculture Department also includes a climate-controlled greenhouse for Horticulture classes and labs.
