Paralegal/Legal Assistant Goals
To prepare students for careers as Paralegals working under the supervision of lawyers in the public and private sector. We do this in two ways:
- provide students the substantive knowledge and practical skills necessary to enter the legal workforce as a Paralegal.
- educate students to become career Paralegals who perform effectively in a variety of legal settings and adapt to changes in the legal environment and law practice.
How do we achieve this? First, by adhering to the highest standards set out by the American Bar Association. Second, all our instructors are highly experienced in their subject areas in which they currently practice in daily. Our instructional staff has included a Judge, a District Attorney, an Assistant District Attorney, J.A.G. Officers, and private practice attorneys with many years of trial experience. Third, we employ training in the latest legal software to ensure that you will be ready for the job market. Fourth, Central Texas College has a guarantee for job competency for its graduates and their employers.
