Ceramic dry-brushing is a rewarding and enjoyable art form using a method of layering tints on ceramic bisques. Projects will make great Father’s Day presents! Students will be given step-by-step instructions in the use of colors for pigment, accent and definition. Wanda Gunter’s work has been included in numerous exhibits and she has been teaching ceramic dry-brushing for over 10 years. (4 meetings)

Bring your imagination to life by creating story illustrations. Students will listen to a story and then draw images based on that information. Explore your creativity by using a variety of media including markers, watercolors, pencils, crayons, gel pens, graphite pencils and more. Wanda Gunter (see Ceramic Dry-Brushing). (4 meetings)

Art Exploration: All about Me Art Fun (Age3-4)
This class is especially designed for the very young artist. Use paint, glue, scissors and other art tools to learn about yourself and create art projects that reflect your personality. Wear clothes that can get messy! Sandra Bravo, a Texas EC-4 teacher, has been educating children for over seven years in public schools, nonprofit organizations and health clubs. (4 meetings)

Arts & Crafts: Paper Art (Age 5-7)
Learn how to recycle paper into art. Students will learn how to make paper and use it to create sculptures, notepads, necklaces, a percussion instrument and origami projects. Wear clothes that can get messy! Sandra Bravo (see Art Exploration). (3 meetings)
Jul 14-17 M, T, TH 9:30-11:30 am Cost/$31
Learn how to turn your photographs and memories into a beautiful scrapbook. Students will learn basics like cropping, page design and journaling. Bring the following supplies: 8x8 or 12x12 scrapbook, glue sticks, a paper kit and photos. This class meets off campus. Kelly Minor is passionate about her hobby and has been scrapbooking for more than six years. (1 meeting)

Make a beautiful stained glass mosaic tray. Students will learn how to apply mosaic pieces and apply grout. Class includes everything needed for the project. Jean Porras is the owner of a local garden ornament business and has been designing and manufacturing mosaic garden pieces and kits for over four years. (1 meeting)

This introductory drawing course will give you confidence to pursue your artistic interests. Drawing projects will include landscape, still life, people and animals! Joe Friddle is a retired high school teacher and professional artist whose works hang in many parts of Texas, the United States and internationally. (4 meetings)
