Food:
Learn how to make, cut out, bake and decorate homemade sugar cookies. Bring your creative ideas, nimble fingers and favorite cookie cutter. Students will leave with one dozen decorated cookies to share with friends and family. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring an apron. No tank tops please. Chef Velma Ross has a degree in culinary arts and teaches for CTC’s hospitality department. (1 meeting)

Fundamentals of Cooking (Age 12+)
Learn the how to handle food safely and use the kitchen. Master basic cooking techniques including grilling, sautéing, pan-frying, baking and steaming. You’ll learn to identify healthy raw ingredients, mise en place (French for getting everything organized before cooking), prepare basic meals and clean-up. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring an apron.
