Performing Arts:
Get excited about reading by listening to exciting stories filled with ogres, princesses, fairy godmothers and more! Enjoy some of your favorite stories in a friendly environment. Participants will get an opportunity to try their hand at storytelling. Kimberly Foster is a writer and an award-winning speaker who as performed oral interpretation for years. (3 meetings)

Learn the basics of stage movement and other acting techniques. Students will learn how to show emotions through body language, facial expressions and vocal control. Children will perform in a dramatic production for their parents and friends on the last day of class. Wear workout clothing and sneakers, long hair should be tied back and no hats please! Bring water and a light snack for break time. Bridgit Lawson performed in “Backyard Circuses” at the age of 6, entertained internationally as a member of an “Up With People” cast at 19 and started her own children’s entertainment company at the age of 24. Enjoy listening to some of your favorite tall tales like you’ve never heard them told before! Participants will get an opportunity to learn how to interpret stories using voices and gestures. Kimberly Foster (see Storytelling). (3 meetings)

Balloon Sculpting Basics (Age 7-13)
Learn how to turn ordinary latex balloons into extraordinary works of art! Student will get hands-on experience inflating and twisting balloons to make dogs, hats, swords, hearts, flowers and more. Wear comfortable clothing and tie long hair back please. Bring water and a light snack for break time.
