Intro to Game & Simulation Design
Gain the knowledge and skills that will prepare you for a future education in the field of games and real time graphic simulations. Discover what you need to know to break into the Indie game field and how the leading game authoring suite works. Students will design a game or simulation, put those designs on paper and work as a team to create a playable demo level of individual designs. Students must have basic computer skills, as well as, an understanding of computer programming and higher level math (algebra and trigonometry). Bring a USB thumb drive and a 10-pack of CD-Rs to class. Jarred Cardillo, a 10-year veteran of the Indie game circuit, is the owner of a small computer game design studio and has worked on many games and simulations. (12 meetings)

Graphic Design with Adobe Photoshop Level I
Learn how to design artwork and manipulate photographs to create beautiful graphic images. This class is a basic introduction to tools and concepts used to create images and edit photographs. Projects will include cleaning up old or damaged photos, building a collage and incorporating text and graphics. Final projects will be displayed in the Fine Arts building. Students must have basic computer knowledge. Bring a USB thumb drive to class. Nathaniel Kutsch has over 10 years of experience as a graphic designer of CD covers, web graphics and photo portraits.
