Basic Math Review
You learned it in high school, but now you need a review. Whether you’re preparing for a test or trying to help your kids with their homework, this class will reacquaint you with fractions, proportions, percents, perimeters, ratios and more. Class will focus on practical applications and examples to help students retain and recall skills covered in class. Plan to purchase the book Arithmetic Made Simple for approximately $15 from the CTC bookstore. Bring pencils, paper and a calculator to class. Tracy Yung Wong is a math tutor. (9 meetings) (1.8 CEUs)

THEA and ACT ASSET
Preparation Sharpen your skills and improve your test score. This course will help you succeed on the new Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) test or the ACT/ASSET test. Reading, writing and math will be addressed (with emphasis on the Math Section). Tips and test-taking strategies will be given. Registration in this class does not register you to take either test. Basic Algebra
Learn the fundamentals of algebra in a relaxed atmosphere. This basic course is a great refresher if you’re preparing for college. Class will focus on arithmetic review, equations with unknowns, signed numbers, monomials and polynomials, formulas, problem solving and more. Grammar & Writing Review
Good communication skills are essential to succeed in college and the workplace. Discover the basic elements of grammar and writing. Class will cover nouns, pronouns, verbs, modifiers, prepositions, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure and more.
