Home Decorating Made Simple
Learn how to arrange a room that is attractive and functional. Students will learn about color schemes, fabric selection and home accessories. Tips on window dressing will also be discussed. Bring $1 for handouts, a notebook, pen or pencil and two pocket folders to class. Sandra Weston has studied and practiced home decorating for 25 years. (2 meetings)

Floral Design I
Flowers can add warmth, color and liveliness to any room. Learn the basics of cutting and processing fresh flowers, making bows and creating basic floral arrangements including a seasonal arrangement. Plan to spend about $60 on supplies. A list of supplies is provided, and fresh flowers will be purchased from the instructor each week. Annette Mangual is an FTD and Teleflora representative who is passionate about floral design, crafts, wedding planning and event decorations. (3 meetings)

Scrapbooking
Learn how to turn your photographs and memories into a beautiful scrapbook. Students will learn basics and then build on that foundation with more advanced techniques. BEG includes cropping, page design and journaling. INT will cover distressing, paper-tearing, punches, embellishments and more. Bring $2 for handouts and the following supplies: 8x8 or 12x12 scrapbook, glue sticks, a paper kit and photos. This class meets off campus. Kelly Minor is passionate about her hobby and has been scrapbooking for more than six years. (4 meetings)

Crocheting for Beginners
Crochet using worsted weight yarn and create items to wear, decorate your home or sell at bazaars. Students will learn how to read patterns and crochet using chain, single and double crochet stitches. Participants will complete a small project. A list of supplies will be provided. Lorraine Brown has been crocheting since she was a child and has over 40 years of experience. (4 meetings)

Basic Upholstery
Breathe new life into garage sale finds and old furniture! Learn the basics of upholstery by working on small scale projects such as chairs, footstools, headboards or cornice boards. Some minor furniture repair will be covered. Bring an item to work on in class. Plan to purchase supplies from the instructor. Bring a snack. Class meets off campus.
