Although silence might
be interpreted by some as an indicator of "nothing much happening,"
you'd be wrong to make that assumption for the CTC Colleague implementation. If
anything, that silence would be attributable to a large number of
folks being so busy that we've not had the chance to share much
news lately. But along the line of that news, following are
a few notes about key, upcoming dates that implementation team members
and leaders have been working toward.
Recall that we have two
key milestones fast approaching - the parallel live date in May
of the Student system and the live date for the HR/Payroll system
in July. For a further description of these milestones, see
prior newsletters.
The Student System will
begin "parallel live" operation in May. During that
timeframe, certain offices in Central Campus will be recreating
the student registrations for Summer 2, as they are occurring in
the legacy, HP system. It's worthy of reiterating that this data
entry will be done by a select few offices (for now) as we confirm
that the setup of codes and data is functioning as intended. As
we go into live registration for fall, that data entry will be done
by all offices and by students themselves, using the Colleague web
interface (WebAdvisor) or Colleagues Telephone Interface (TREG).
