A
Team Effort |
|
As
we mentioned in previous Colleague Implementation News
issues, the implementation of Colleague is a real Team Effort. Many
of you assume these teams are very small, select groups, since you
haven't personally heard much from the teams themselves. Well .
they were certainly selected carefully, but they're not a small
group by any means.
Following
is a list of the teams implementing their respective modules:
|
Academic Records / Registration
Admissions / Recruitment
Accounts Payable / Purchasing
Accounts Receivable / Cash Receipts
Budget Management
Communications Management
Core Team
Curriculum Mgmt / Faculty Info
Degree Audit |
Demographics / Organization Info
Financial Aid
Facilities Profile
Fixed Assets
General Ledger / Projects Acctg
Position Budgeting
Personnel / Payroll
Student Steering Team
Technical (Information Svc) |
As
you can see, the implementation is a pretty large
effort indeed. Considering the number of teams and the
number of personnel on each team, CTC has invested literally tens
of thousands of hours in the implementation of Colleague.
Each team has attended training, then many sessions of consulting
along with lots of homework to complete outside of consulting.
It's been a pretty monumental, time-eating process.
...
which is mostly why you haven't heard a lot from these teams.
They're so busy getting the job done, that the all-imporant communication
isn't something, unfortunately, that can make it to the top of their
lists. These team members are often tired, pulled in many
directions and just a bit overwhelmed. However, they're really
doing a great job. If you know of any of the hard working folks
on these teams, give them a pat on the back. They certainly
deserve it.
