Hello, and Welcome to English 2333 !

This course is a study of the major works written by selected world writers from the 18th Century to the Present Day.  Because it is a "survey" course, there will not be time to read the works of all major/minor writers, but we will highlight the representative and culturally diverse literary artists of each period.   Although our chief emphasis is on significant literary developments and contributions, the social, intellectual, and historical developments will be important as they relate to the literature.
