Oral communication skills are
one of the first things that employers, graduate
schools and entrepreneurs need for success and
the Central Texas College Speech Team helps students
improve these skills in a fun and competitive
environment. There is NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!!!
We are looking for students who are charismatic,
love to talk and perform and like a challenge.
Our college has been successful
and the regional, state and national level with
finalist in speaking, interpretation of literature
and debate. This is an opportunity for CTC students
to represent the college, sharpen their performance
skills, and have a great time.
IF you are interested in joining, we recommend
that you sign up for forensics SPCH 1144 a one-credit-hour
class that will teach you about the events that
we compete in, provide practice time and find
topics and literature to perform. Tournament travel
is an integral part of the speech experience and
Central Texas College covers the registration
and transportation costs for tournaments.
