The United States Department of Education published a revised Electronic Announcement (EA) in the Federal Register on August 31, 2020, for the Student Aid portion of the HEERF Grants. The revised EA requires institutions to continue to post the required reports on the institution’s primary website in a format easily accessible to the public. The revised EA maintains the same seven reporting elements, but added a clarifying footnote for reporting item four and decreased the frequency of reporting after the initial 30-day period from every 45 days thereafter to every calendar quarter. The Department of Education provided a draft copy of the Quarterly Budget and Expenditure Reporting under CARES Act Sections 18004(a)(1) Institutional Portion to institutions September 23, 2020, and hosted a Webinar October 14, 2020. At that time the announcement was made that the Quarterly Reports for the Institutional Portion must be posted on the same webpage as the reports for the Student Aid Portion.
