10th Annual CTC Fashion Show and Dinner

The 10th annual CTC Fashion Show and Dinner will be held at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center on April 6. The event showcases the designs of the season from local clothing establishments. Proceeds from this event benefit the CTC Nursing Scholarship program.

Campus police and Risk Management will host two presentations on the Campus Carry (Senate Bill 11) in the Anderson Campus Center. All interested students and employees need only attend one of the two scheduled sessions. Campus police will discuss CTC's policy adopted by the Board of Trustees. The first session is from 9-10 a.m. and the second session is from 1-2 p.m.

The annual Chancellor's Chili Cook-off is Friday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. inside the Anderson Campus Center. Every department is invited to make a team and prepare their chili. Awards for best tasting chili, showmanship, chancellor's favorite and people's choice will be presented.

The Psi Beta Honor Society will host its annual  Psychology Symposium on Wednesday, April 11 from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Anderson Campus Center. This year's theme is "21st Century Slavery." Guest speaker is Victoria Walker from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Also, Psi Beta students will report their research findings to open the symposium.

26th Annual CTC Foundation Golf Tournament

The 26th annual CTC Foundation Golf Tournament will be held at the Courses at Clear Creek on Fort Hood on Friday, April 20. The four-person scramble tournament starts at 9 a.m. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Proceeds benefit the CTC Foundation scholarship program. American Heart Association First Aid (CTC Employees Only)

This class teaches basic first aid procedures that may help someone recover more completely or more quickly and may mean the difference between life and death. Students who successfully complete this course will be given a Heartsaver First Aid course completion card. This is not a "combat" first aid course. It addresses common injuries you may encounter while at work.

CTC will host its 14th annual spring Transfer Day on Wednesday, April 25 from 1-3 p.m. in the Anderson Campus Center. Representatives from four-year universities and other institutions will be on hand to meet students and discuss transferring credits, degree plans, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, housing and other details involved in transferring after completing studies at CTC.

Fine Arts presents Hee Young Cho, concert pianist, who will present a program of music by Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven and Lizst on Monday April 30 at 7:30 pm in the Anderson Campus Center. Tickets are $5 at the door, children under 12 are free. Proceeds benefit the CTC Music Scholarship Fund.
