Department Mission Goal Statement
The Early Childhood Professions Program mission is dedicated to following the principles and guidelines of the central Texas College mission, goals, and policies. The Early Childhood Professions Program Specific mission is to provide educational instruction designed to meet the needs of students seeking certification, a Child Development Association (CDA), or degree in Early Childhood Professions. The Department goals include assisting the students in making intelligent career choices, keeping abreast of the latest trends and techniques in the profession, serving as a model center for the local community and assisting Early Childhood Professions with resources. A complementary mission is to provide quality child care for children three through five years of age.
These missions are fulfilled by employing and retaining competent and qualified faculty and staff, providing adequate resources for course offering and the center and by promoting student success.
