CTC students earn all-state choir honors

Four Central Texas College (CTC) students were recently named to the Texas Two-Year All-State Choir. Micah Ables, Christine Akre, Laura Ciampi and Bryan Rivera earned all-state honors following auditions held at Weatherford Community College.

The four members of the CTC Chorus will now perform with other all-state choir members in a concert during the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention in San Antonio next month. The concert is open to the public and will be held at 11:30 a.m. on February 16 in the Lila Cockrell Theatre of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

These students will also be a part of the CTC Music Showcase scheduled for April 24 in the CTC Fine Arts Auditorium. The showcase will serve as auditions for CTC students as well as high school students seeking a music scholarship at CTC.
