KNCT to premiere Black History Month special

KNCT-TV will premiere “For Love of Liberty: The Story of America's Black Patriots” on Thursday, February 4 at 8 p.m. Hosted by Halle Berry and narrated by Avery Brooks, the two-part series depicts for the first time, more than 200 years of heroic exploits of African American fighting men and women. Through the innovative combination of personal writings and memorabilia, historical text, rare photographs, archival materials, location footage and reenactments, the film documents African- Americans' sacrifice and service, from the Revolutionary War to the current battle against global terrorism. Their compelling stories are recounted through dramatic, off-camera readings by more than 40 talented entertainers and public figures. The series concludes next Thursday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. KNCT-TV is located on cable channel four or channel 46 for non-cable users.
