CTC
offers career opportunity through petroleum program
The
Fort Hood campus of Central Texas College (CTC) announced
it is offering a Petroleum Program which prepares students
for a career in the oil and gas industry. The program combines
lecture and practical field exercises and can be completed
in four weeks.
The
Petroleum Program consists of three modules: Introduction
to the Petroleum Industry, Industrial Safety, and Well Control
and Drilling, which are taught consecutively during the
program term. Lifetime certifications included in the program
are the International Association of Drilling Contractors
(IADC) Well Control and IADC Rig Pass.
Classes
are taught at the CTC Fort Hood campus located in Bldg.
3200, 761st Tank Battalion Avenue and are offered on Monday/Wednesday
from 5 – 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday from 5:30 – 8:30
p.m. The program does include a Saturday field trip.
The
next start dates are March 10, March 19, March 29 and April
7. The program is open to the public. The total cost of
the Petroleum Program is $600 which includes all instructional
materials. Interested persons can register now at the CTC
