CTC
students earn all-state choir honors
The
Central Texas College (CTC) Fine Arts music program recently
announced four members of the CTC Chorus were named to the
Texas Two-Year All-State Choir. Competing against choral
members from community colleges across the state during
auditions at Weatherford Community College , Megan Green,
Tony DiLillo, Stephanie Luna and Bryan Rivera earned the
coveted all-state honors. This is the third consecutive
year Rivera has been selected for all-state honors. The
CTC students competed against choir members from community
colleges across the state for selection to the All-State
Choir.
The
foursome will now perform in the mixed chorus with other
all-state choir members from across Texas in a concert during
the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention
in San Antonio February 10-13. Upon arrival, they will participate
in sectional rehearsals in the mornings and joint rehearsals
in the afternoons Wednesday through Friday. Rehearsals will
culminate with the actual mixed choir concert performance
at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 13 in Ballroom A of the
Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Men's and Women's Choir
performances set for 5 p.m. that afternoon. The TMEA concert
series is open to the public.
