CTC
drama “Fences” cancelled
The
CTC Fine Arts Department announced today the cancellation
of its production “Fences” scheduled for March 11-13 in
the CTC Fine Arts auditorium (Bldg. 112). Instructor James
Salter regrettably said, "A confluence of events forced
my decision late Monday night to cancel the performance.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience."
An
open house for the technical aspects of
the production of "Fences" will be held:
Tuesday,
March 9 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.; 12 – 1 p.m.; and 3:30 –
4:30 p.m.
Wednesday,
March 10 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.; 12 – 1 p.m.; and 3:30 –
4:30 p.m.
Everyone
is encouraged to drop by and observe the work of the students. Programs
will be placed on the edge of the stage and you may take
one if you like. The programs contain the names of the students
who worked on this show.
Salter
added, "I would like to take a moment and speak to
the outstanding hard work and diligence the scenic design
team presented during the preparation of this event. I cannot
say enough good things about all of them. In particular
one student, Joe Johnson, has shown leadership, ingenuity
and strength of character along the way. Most of the
students are from my Theatre Practicum I course and I have
included a photo
of their efforts.
