Sigma
Kappa Delta is the English honor society for community college
students. It was incorporated in 1996 under the auspices
of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society
serving four-year institutions. Its purpose is to confer
distinction upon outstanding students of the English language
and literature in undergraduate studies. The organization
also recognizes professional writers who have contributed
to the fields of language and literature.
Sigma
Kappa Delta provides exceptional students opportunities
for advancing the study of language and literature, for
developing skills in creative and analytical writing and
for meeting other outstanding scholars and professionals
in the discipline of English.
