PLANETARIUM MEMBERSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE

The Mayborn Planetarium and Space Theatre is now offering membership opportunities to the public Members will receive show discounts and other benefits including invitations to members-only premieres and special events.

Membership at the Planetarium provides a great educational and entertainment value as well as makes a valuable contribution to the continued success of the facility that serves the central Texas region and beyond. In addition to event invitations, basic membership and family membership benefits include free or discounted admissions to more than 250 Association of Science-Technology Centers, natural history museums, arboretums and aquaria throughout the country; unlimited admission to public planetarium and laser shows for one year; discounted admission to large format films for one year; two guest passes per month; and newsletter and special mailings.

These benefits are available through the following annual membership levels:

Friend: This is an individual membership. An additional family member can be added for $20. Students, faculty and staff of any school, college or university as well as active or retired military personnel and family members are priced at $25.

Family: Two adults and two children under the age of 18 and all in the same household can join for $70. Additional family members may be added for $20 each. A discounted rate of $50 is offered to all active duty and retired military personnel and their families and to students, faculty and staff of any school, college or university.

Sponsor: This level includes extended family members and grandparents and admits up to six people per visit. Active duty and retired military and family members and students, faculty and staff of any school, college or university can receive a discounted rate of $75.

Members will be asked to show their membership card and a valid photo identification when visiting the Planetarium. Student, faculty, staff and military IDs are required to receive discounted passes.

The business community can also become corporate members and provide employees and customers with unforgettable Planetarium experiences. Annual corporate memberships are available at the following levels:

Corporate Member ($300): entitles members to 75 guest passes (30 planetarium star show passes, 30 laser light show passes and 15 large format film passes).

Corporate Supporter ($750): same benefit as the corporate member plus one group planetarium or laser light show for up to 180 people.

Corporate Partner ($1,000): entitles members to 125 guest passes (50 planetarium star show passes, 50 laser light show passes and 25 large format film passes); one group planetarium or laser light show for up to 180 people and logo recognition on pre-show slide screens during public shows.

To become a member, log onto www.starsatnight.org/membership. Payment is accepted by credit card online or by bank account direct debit. Membership packets will then be sent in the mail.
