Central
Texas College comes
to Walter Reed
With
Central Texas College 's (CTC) already sterling history
of providing educational services to the men and women of
our nation's military, CTC is proud to announce the opening
of its newest site at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC)
in Washington, DC.
With
this latest addition to the Continental Campus family, CTC
will support not only the soldiers assigned to the Walter
Reed garrison and hospital, but the wounded warrior contingent
as well. The site will be headed by newcomer Alex Tuel.
Mr. Tuel received his master's degree in secondary education/social
studies from West Virginia University and taught American
government and world history at St. Mary's High School in
Colorado Springs, CO for the past three years. Mr. Tuel
recently moved to the DC Metro area, with his wife Laura.
He noted, “I am honored by this opportunity and this is
a great chance for me to show my appreciation to those who
serve our country.”
The
Education Services Division (ESD) at US Army Garrison Walter
Reed is led by Gregory Berger, Director, ESD. When asked
about the importance of education at Walter Reed Mr. Berger
stated“it enables soldiers to progress not only militarily
but also prepares Soldiers for life after the military.”
Mr. Berger expressed his gratitude towards CTC as well.
“CTC has a long and outstanding relationship with the military
and is a great support system for Soldiers. In addition,
CTC brings a tradition of high academic standards to Walter
Reed,” he said.
