Central Texas College District
Faculty Handbook - June 2003

Purpose of Handbook
This handbook contains official policies of Central Texas College District (CTCD). Its purpose is to provide information and guidelines for College faculty and administrators. The policies and procedures listed in this handbook are governed by the laws of the United States of America, the State of Texas, and the policies passed by the College District Board of Trustees. Many of the specific policies of the Board of Trustees that affect instructional personnel are found in approved Policy Statement and Position Papers approved by the Board of Trustees of the College District.

In addition, important information is included in the Central Texas College Human Resource Management Operating Policies and Procedures Manual, and Central Texas College Catalogs. Policies in the above listed documents are referenced and will prevail over those in the Faculty Handbook that do not have a policy reference, in case of any conflict. All College personnel are required to know and abide by these policies and procedures.

Amendments or revisions to these policies may result from changes in federal and state regulations and requirements or as a result of recommendation from CTCD personnel. In all cases, policy amendments and additions will comply with the policies approved by the Board of Trustees. The policies contained in this document apply to all Central Texas College faculty regardless of location. Where policy, with regard to location or adjunct or full-time faculty, varies it will be so noted. Inquiries and comments regarding this document should be addressed to the Deputy Chancellor, Educational Program Support Services and Texas Campuses, the appropriate Campus Dean for Central, Fort Hood, Continental, Europe, Navy, or Pacific Far East Campus, or and/or the Director of Human Resource Management.

Source Identifiers: BD (Board Document), EPG (Educational Program Guidelines), HR (Human Resource).
