Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Question: When are timesheets/ALL payroll documentation due?
Answer: ALL payroll documentation is due in Payroll Services the work day after payday. Example: If payday is the 15th, documentation is due the 16th.

Question: When is payday?
Answer: On the 15th and the last working day of the month.

Question: When does my direct deposit start?
Answer: Direct Deposit usually starts with your first paycheck if your paperwork is received by the department in time to test with the bank.  If not, it should start with your next paycheck.

Question: Where can I pick up my check?
Answer: On payday, you may pick up your check in building 103, room 150 from 7:30 a.m. until close of business. Please bring a photo ID.

Question: When can I use my sick and vacation leave (full-time employees)?
Answer: Sick leave may be used after completing the four-month training period.  Vacation leave may be used after six months’ full-time service has been completed or after successful completion of the training period.

Question: When are W-2s issued?
Answer: W-2s are mailed out by January 31 each year. Also, you can sign up to receive your W-2 online using WebAdvisor. Please contact the Payroll department for further information.

Question: How do I receive my pay advice?
Answer:  Effective January 1, 2014, paper statements are no longer printed. You can access your pay advice through WebAdvisor. Instructions on how to access WebAdvisor are located under Employment Services.
