The CTC Application for Admission

The Central Texas College Foundation

Invites you to apply for the

2006-2007 Scholarship Awards.

You may apply now for the CTC Foundation scholarships by completing our on-line application. The application is found by selecting the link, The Central Texas College Foundation 2006-2007 Scholarship Application This application allows you to apply for all of our scholarships. It is important to know and indicate any of the special criteria you meet by selecting them in the application. To know the criteria you need to read about them on our application link at the left or here, Central Texas College Foundation 2006-2007 Scholarship Listing. It is also important to indicate your intended major, even if you are not 100% sure that you will eventually end up with that major. Your application must be submitted online by March 31, 2006.

The application asks you to provide your GPA and the scale upon which it is based in the application. If you come to CTC from a high school or another college, you must eventually provide the college with a copy of your transcript by having your previous school send one to our Registrar's Office at Central Texas College Foundation, PO Box 1800, Killeen, Texas 76540-1800. However it is not necessary to have a transcript on file at the time of application. If you are a CTC student, your transcript will already be available to us.

There are some family financial data asked for on our application. The information will allow you to receive a financial need score for your application that will make you competitive on the financial need scholarships we offer. This information is not necessary to receive an academic performance scholarship, but we encourage you to complete this information for the financial need scholarships. Your financial need score is added to your academic score in order to rank you for the financial need scholarships. You will be considered for financial need scholarships if you do not receive an academic scholarship, so its a good idea to provide the information. This information comes from the last income tax filing you or your family completed. It can be last year's tax return information if you have not completed a return for the current year. Also, you do not need to send us a 1040 form, and, if you are from another country, we will accept information from whatever family income statement you have. The International Student Office will help you convert the information into US currency amounts for our application

All applications received by the March 31 deadline will be considered for awards offered during the September 2006 to August 2007 school year. All awards will be filled from this initial applicant group. After March 31, any unsuccessful applications and all subsequent applications received will scored and retained to make up our applicant pool for the entire school year. All applications in the applicant pool will be considered when and if awards fall vacant during the school year.

Of course you must be an enrolled student at CTC to get the scholarship. If you are a successful applicant and after your have enrolled, your scholarship will be in the granted to you in the form of a credit on your account at our Business Office. When you pay for your registration, your credit for the scholarship will be reflected in the amount you will owe. If your award is greater than the amount you owe for tuition, books abd fees, you will receive a check from the Business Office after the official class drop date. If you are ready to enroll now, we have included the link to begin the application for admission to CTC here, The Central Texas College Application for Admission and and at the left for your convenience.

Good luck!
