Retirement

Full-time employees contribute to the State retirement which is administered by the Teachers Retirement System of Texas (TRS). Visit www.trs.state.tx.us for more information on Texas State retirement.

The Optional Retirement Program (ORP) is an individualized retirement annuity plan, available only to faculty, librarians and certain administrators as an alternative to membership in the Teachers Retirement System of Texas. For eligible employees please review The Overview of TRS and ORP.

There is also the Qualified Pension Plan and Trust (QPP) for eligible full time employees and the Supplemental Plan and Trust (SPP) if you are a part time employee. For more information on both plans, visit http://www.ctcd.edu/pension/ctc_pension.htm.
