Full-time employees contribute to the State retirement which is administered by the Teachers Retirement System of Texas (TRS)

The Optional Retirement Program (ORP)
is an individualized retirement annuity plan, available only to faculty, librarians and certain administrators as an alternative to membership in the Teachers Retirement System of Texas. For eligible employees please review The Overview of TRS and ORP
