This program is for the student who wishes to pursue a career in Cosmetology. It provides entry-level, industry-validated, hands-on training that prepares students to take the Texas State Board of Cosmetology exam and receive their state license.

The programs are taught at the College of Cosmetology in Killeen, Texas which is licensed by the Texas Cosmetology Commission. The program is 3 semesters (1500 clock hours and a minimum of nine months) in length as required by the Texas Cosmetology Commission for licensing.

Studies include theories, shampoo, hair and scalp treatment, waving procedures, chemical treatment, coloring, cutting and styling, manicuring, hair removal, skin care, and preparation for the state board.

The instructional staff has an average of 27 years field and teaching experience. All are licensed operators and instructors. Their expertise is kept current by attending update seminars and schools, trade shows, and product manufacturer training.
 

This program is rated "Exemplary" by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and is available only at Central Campus in Killeen, Texas.
