Datatel is the corporation that developed the Colleague administrative information system. Datatel focuses on providing flexible, single-source technology to help colleges and universities manage their business processes. Headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia with regional offices in California and Texas, Datatel has been providing information technology services to higher education institutions since 1968.
Colleague is the software that Datatel developed and markets. It is an enterprise resource planning solution designed for higher education. It contains five integrated components, Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Advancement, and Human Resources, of which CTC uses four.
