Did You Know...

A virtual private network (VPN) can best be described as a private network over a public network.  It provides users a secure channel between his/her computer and a computer at a remote location.  Similar in function to a wide area network (WAN), a VPN uses the Internet to establish a connection and transfer data.  However, unlike a WAN, a VPN encapsulates and encrypts the data to provide a secure transfer.   A user can access the private network securely from anywhere in the world as long as an Internet connection is available and the private network provides the user the access to its resources. To request a VPN, click here.
