  1. DISCUSSION

Carbon copy (Cc) and blind carbon copy (Bcc) allow you to send a message to a group of recipients. Carbon copy, also known as a courtesy copy, allows your recipients to see who has received your message. Blind carbon copy, on the other hand, prevents your recipients from knowing to whom you sent your message. Your recipients will see that you sent the message to yourself but the rest of the addresses will be hidden.

  1. PROCEDURE

To use the blind carbon copy feature:

  1. Click “New Mail Message” (Ctrl + N) to start a new message.

  2. To add the “Bcc…” field to the message box.

    1. Click the “Options …” drop-down menu.

    2. Click “Bcc”.

  3. Enter your email address in the “To…” field.

  4. Enter the email addresses that you want to send a carbon copy “Cc…”.

  5. Enter the email addresses that you want to send a blind carbon copy “Bcc…" (see Figure 1).

  6. Type a subject.

  7. Proceed with typing your message.

  8. Click “ Send”.
