The list of sites in Internet Explorer’s address bar is controlled through a utility called Auto Complete. For example, if you were to type www.c in the address bar, all sites that you have previously visited that start with the letter “c”, such as www.ctcd.edu, will appear in a drop down menu below the address bar. This is a handy utility to use to if you visit many different Web sites.
To set up Auto Complete for Internet Explorer:
Open Internet Explorer.
Click Tools and click on Internet Options at the bottom of the menu.
Click the Content tab under the Personal Information heading.
Click the Auto Complete button.
- In the Auto Complete Settings window, check the box in which you want to use Auto Complete (see Figure 1).

Click OK and click OK again.
- Close Internet Explorer and open it again to activate your new settings.
