Accessing Colleague

I. DISCUSSION
UI Web permits access to Colleague with a web browser such as Internet Explorer and thus takes advantage of standard browser navigation features. UI Web delivers anytime/anywhere access by Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems along with simplified installation via your web browser. For users authorized to use UI Web and Colleague, Java must be loaded onto your computer to access Colleague using UI Web. Java is a coding language that allows the Colleague login window to appear on your computer. If you experience difficulties logging in to the Colleague page, contact the Help Desk at extension 3103.
II. PROCEDURE
A. To download Java:
1. Click here to download Java 1.4. (To upgrade to Java 1.5, click here.)
2. The Install Shield will begin; click Run each time you are prompted to do so.
3. Check the option “I accept the terms in the license agreement” and click “Next”.
4. Check the Typical Installation box and click “Next”.
5. Click “Finish” when the download is complete.
B. To access UI Web to use Colleague:
1. Click “Login to UI Web” on the CTC Information Technology home page.
2. Bookmark this page in your Web browser for easy access in the future.
3. Enter your user ID and password.
4. Select the account you wish to access (e.g. Live).
5. Click “Login”.
