Join us at the Central Texas College Anderson Campus Center on:

Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

On April 6, 2016, the Risk Management Department hosted its 15th annual Wellness Fair and Silent Auction, with this year’s slogan “Be Fit, Eat Right, Think Well and Go Green in 2016”.  The event supports the department’s mission, which promotes health and wellness in every aspect of life.  This year’s fair was sponsored by Seton Medical Center Harker Heights and we enjoyed a record number turnout of 66 vendors. Our Silent Auction featured a record number of donated items and services from businesses. All proceeds from our Silent Auction supports the Central Texas College Risk Management Foundation to fund our students enrolled in health, safety, and wellness-related programs. This year, we raised a total of $2,202.00, toppling last year’s proceeds. Some of the vendors that participated donated Silent Auction items as well.

As a sponsor and participant, Seton was on hand to perform health screenings.  As a bonus, CTCD students, faculty, and staff experienced being impaired while under the influence of alcohol with the drunken goggles overseen by the Seton staff.  Not to be outdone, Scott and White had its Blood Mobile present in support of a great cause. The event was a great success with an outstanding turn-out of 25 blood donors. Lastly, but not the least, the CTC Continuing Education Department performed yoga, AED/CPR, Egyptian and Tribal belly dancing demonstrations, and gave free massages which were enjoyed by all.

As the 2016 Wellness Fair ends, only to start again, we are looking forward in seeing you “Just for the Health of It” on April 5, 2017 at the CTCD Wellness Fair, to be held at the Anderson Campus Center, Building 156.
