AIR Force "Getting Started at CTC" Instructions




  1. How to register: Go to:

    Click the "Apply Now" button

      • Click on "Create Account"
      • Input Requested Information
      • Next, enter your User Name & Password
  2. Submit ALL official transcripts from former colleges/universities and AARTS/JST/AU military transcripts to:
    • Central Texas College
      ATTN: Incoming Transcripts
      PO Box 1800
      Killeen, TX 76540-1800

      If you choose CTC as your host college, your military evaluation will be completed prior to the end of your second class taken.  In order to process your evaluation, your Air University Transcript (CCAF) and official transcripts from previous colleges attended must be received by CTC. 

    • How to order your free Air University (AU) CCAF Transcript:  The official CCAF transcript will show graduate status and military credits ONLY (tech school, internship, PME, etc).

      There are currently 3 ways to request official CCAF transcripts.

      a. Students can order a “Free” official CCAF transcript by logging on to Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) from a .mil computer. 

      • Under "Self Service", select "CCAF Student Services". 


      • Proceed to CCAF Online Student Services and select "Order a Transcript" from the Transcripts dropdown.


      • Under Option 1: Free online order from CCAF, select the "Order transcript from CCAF" link. 


      • Type in:      Central Texas College

                           ATTN: Incoming Transcripts

                                                               PO Box 1800

                                                               Killeen, TX 76540

                                    c. Mail a letter to CCAF requesting a transcript which also will need to include your name, your SSN, and the address you wish your transcript to be sent to. NOTE: Ensure the letter is physically SIGNED by the member to release their record. CCAF mailing address: Community College of the Air Force, 100 South Turner Blvd, Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex AL 36114-3011

        3.  Have a degree plan on record. Browse over 100 degree plans available through CTC on the CTC website.  Air Force Tuition Assistance (TA) policy requires Airmen to have a current degree plan uploaded to their AI Portal Account by the end of their second class taken at their home college or prior to completing nine semester hours at any college using TA. In order to see how to load your degree plan, go to the Air Force Portal, Virtual Education Center and review the tutorial.

  1. Search for Distance Learning Classes:

Go to website, on the bottom of the page select distance education, and then choose “schedule” on the left side of screen under “quick links.”


          5. Search for On-Base Classes:

Go to website and place cursor on Location Tab, then click Other US Locations. Click on Eglin AFB, FL

           6. Register

  • Log into webadvisor (top right of screen on main home page –
  • Click “Log In” on upper right side of page (grey tab area)
  • User name: Lowercase cand your Student ID Number(example: c1234567)
  • Password, whatever you changed it to from mmddyy of birthday (used first time you login)
  • Scroll down to Registration
  • Click “Register for sections”
  • ***NOTE:  You must be sure to submit your TA request prior to registering for a class, and then forward the approved TA form to the Site Director to ensure you are properly coded in the system.  You will be automatically dropped out of a course within 24 hours if you have not either paid for the course, or been coded with the approved TA control number***
  • Click “Class Search” radio button
  • Click “Search”
  • Click “Description of each field” and “Search Examples” links for assistance
  • Fill in the fields to search the Course Schedule for classes. Click “Search”
  • The Class Search Results screen displays the classes that meet your search criteria
  • If TA does not cover the entire cost of the class, you may be responsible for a portion of the cost.
  • The View Results screen displays with the status of your enrollment request. If the Status column shows “Success,” your enrollment request is submitted successfully, pending final approval from the college. You will receive an email confirming the enrollment
  • Review your schedule within the next 36 to 48 hours to confirm that the classes in which you registered are posted in your schedule and verify that you have not registered for an incorrect class (wrong start date, wrong delivery, wrong funding type, wrong days and times, etc.).



  • Ensure that the section selected corresponds to the tuition rate applicable to your physical location. Contact your site representative, refer to the first letter of the section number or log onto the class number search page (links) on the CTC website.


  • The most common error in class enrollment is selection of the wrong section. To avoid this type of rejection:

          You should receive access to your course within 72 hours prior to start date.  Work with your teacher, or utilize the Eagles on Call for any issues with online classes.  They can be emailed at:
