My Account is a self-serve feature that enables candidates to create and manage their own personal accounts, register/prepay for CLEP exams, and purchase study materials all in one place.
All candidates (with the exception of certain test-takers with disabilities must register and pay their exam fee via My Account at https://clepportal.collegeboard.org/myaccount.
Candidates select score recipients and answer background questions through My Account before test day.
Test centers do not create registrations or collect payment for exam fees.
Candidate data is automatically downloaded to the test center during check-in.
Appointment scheduling is handled by each individual test center, not via My Account.
During the exam registration process, candidates will indicate their preferred test center. Selecting a preferred test center does not reserve a space or guarantee them an appointment at the test center.
My Account has no information regarding seating capacities or testing schedules at test centers. Therefore, candidates must contact their preferred test center to schedule an appointment to test.
Once a candidate registers and pays the exam fee via My Account, he or she will be able to review/print the CLEP Exam Registration Ticket.
In addition, the candidate will also receive an automated email confirming the registration and notifying him/her to print the registration ticket, along with other pre/post test day reminders.
A CLEP registration is valid for six months; the expiration date will be printed on the ticket.
