Barbara started at CTC in fall of 2003 after 15 years as a military spouse with various marketing and recreation jobs with the Army in California, Kansas and Europe. She has an MS in Advertising from Northwestern and a BS in Journalism from Arkansas State University. She serves as the chauffeur and event planner for her two children, Emma and Andy during her “free” time.



Bruce Bruce Vasbinder, Coordinator

Bruce began his CTC career in the summer of 2004 as the Intramural Sports Director in the Physical Education Department. He joined the Community Relations team in November 2005 with almost 20 years experience in public/community relations from his tenure with Sprint Corporation. He holds a BBA–Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Bruce is also a CTC part-time physical education instructor.

SueSue Payne, Webmaster

Sue began working at CTC in April, 1994, spending the first 5 years as an Office Specialist for the Dean, Instructional Services. In 1999, after earning her A.A.S., Computer Science (Business Programmer/Analyst) from CTC, she was promoted to the position of Assistant Webmaster within the Computer Services Department (now Information Technology).

Sue has worked under the Community Relations & Marketing/Technical Publications Department since a September, 2003 reorganization placed web development under that domain. She earned her Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) degree in Dec 2004 and in Dec 2005 was promoted to Webmaster.


EricaErica Stemmons-White, Assistant Webmaster

Erica joined the Community Relations team March 2006, with a background in web design and graphic design. She was previously the Web Administrator at a local university in New Orleans, where she received her BA in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design.

As a recent transplant to the Central Texas area from New Orleans, she enjoys spending time with her two young sons.

JohnJohn Dennis, Director, Technical Publications

John has taught English at several accredited and non-accredited colleges and has been a technical writer, proposal writer, photographer, and illustrator since 1974. He joined CTC at API in 1996 as an editor and later became a curriculum coordinator. In 1998 he became Director of Technical Publications primarily writing proposals for CTC’s military contracts and assisting Desktop Publishing.


DonnaDonna Duran, Graphic Design Specialist

Donna has been the Graphic Design Specialist with Desktop Publishing since November 1994. She brought with her 10 years of experience as a Technical Illustrator for a national laboratory. When she’s not creating top-notch CTC publications, she stays busy as a single mom raising her three children.

Angela joined the Community Relations team in the spring of 2007 after spending five years as a teacher for Killeen Independent School District.  She taught Drill Team, Dance, Teen Leadership, Introduction to Business, Computer Courses, and Algebra. Angela also works for American Dance and Drill Team School and previously for Mike Miller and Associates, a special events company that has an annual place in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Cotton Bowl Halftime Show. 

KimberleyKimberley Christian, Coordinator, Recruitment and Retention

Kimberley was born in North York, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Calgary, Alberta Canada.  Kimberley began working in Contract Administration in August of 2003 and began in her new position as Coordinator, Recruitment & Retention in November of 2008.  In her spare time, Kimberley enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and reading.
