If you have any area that requires an answer of 'yes,' you should begin the Declaratory Order process as soon as possible. The forms needed for this process can be obtained at the BNE website: www.bne.state.tx.us/forms.htm. It takes 3-6 months to complete this process after the completed application is submitted. This must be done before you will be able to verify your status regarding your opportunity to take the NCLEX-PN for possible licensure.

If you are unsure of whether you will be able to be allowed to take the NCLEX-PN test, you are encouraged to complete the Declaratory Order process prior to enrolling in class.
