Phase I

CARD
Initially
planned for two years, a third year provided a transition
to finish research on results of the first initiatives and
discovery for the next phase. Phase I introduced QEP
on the central campus and a few distance learning situations.
Phase II will broaden its use to CTC's distributed campuses.
CTC
focused on both learning outcomes and the environment supporting
student learning :
For
its first phase, Central Texas College developed focus issues
for both academic and student support services departments.
Academic departments identified
the need for earlier and more prescriptive feedback to students
regarding their learning as they progress through a course,
enabling them to benefit from intervention and assistance
services.
Student support services departments
identified the need for better customer service to students
during all of the processes for enrollment, participation,
change, and completion of their college requirements.
