CTC's Quality Enhancement Plan

Creating A Culture that Focuses on Enhancing Student Learning

QEP Phase I      2004-2007

REPORT CARD

Initially planned for two years, a third year provided a transition to finish research on results of the first initiatives and discovery for the next phase.  Phase I introduced QEP on the central campus and a few distance learning situations.  Phase II will broaden its use to CTC's distributed campuses.

CTC focused on both learning outcomes and the environment supporting student learning :

For its first phase, Central Texas College developed focus issues for both academic and student support services departments.

•  Academic departments identified the need for earlier and more prescriptive feedback to students regarding their learning as they progress through a course, enabling them to benefit from intervention and assistance services.

•  Student support services departments identified the need for better customer service to students during all of the processes for enrollment, participation, change, and completion of their college requirements.
