Central Texas College shares the sorrow and disbelief of the Fort Hood community related to the tragic events of November 5. We know this is felt very personally by our students, faculty and staff. Resources are available on campus and off to support those who need assistance.
On Campus Resources:

The Central Texas College Mental Health Department will be hosting informational sessions “Understanding PTSD”. These sessions are scheduled for:
Monday, November 9th from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.;
Tuesday, November 10th from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.;
Thursday, November 12th from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and
Friday, November 13th from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. – this session is geared specifically towards CTC faculty and staff
These sessions will be held in the CTC Planetarium, Building 152, and are designed to help the Central Texas community understand the dynamics of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in light of the recent tragedy at Fort Hood. The public is invited to attend.

Shots Fired Video On Line – Risk Management and the CTC Police Department want to remind all faculty and staff that the Shots Fired video is available for viewing on the CTC web site on the Risk Management page. In light of the tragic events on Ft Hood, CTC wants to be sure that all of us are as prepared as possible in the event something similar occurs on Campus. PLEASE WATCH THIS SHORT AND INFORMATIVE VIDEO it may prove to keep you safe! If anyone would like a showing to a class or to employees, please contact Risk Management at 1347 to arrange training.
