I will be using this Rubric to evaluate your presentation. Your presentations are to be done individually and are not to exceed 13 minutes and not less than 13 minutes in duration which will leave 2 minutes for questions, total time of 15 minutes. You can pick a topic of your choice but it MUST BE approved by me and related directly to the field of Microbiology. You will give your presentation in lab class at a specified time that will be determined by the second week of class.. The schedule will be worked out in lab and posted in the glass case outside the lab door. There are no extensions on the due date.

Guidelines for preparing your presentation.

Please use Powerpoint for your presentation and estimate 1 minuter per slide excluding your title and reference slide.

Each slide should contain no more than 8 lines of text and these should NOT be complete sentences.

If you use diagrams or photographs make sure you explain them and know what they are and where they came from..

You must have a HARD COPY of the presentation to give to your instructor at the time you make your presentation to the class.

Your presentation MUST be directly related to the field of Microbiology.

Save your presentation to a USB drive and bring it to class on the day of your presentation.
