Alexander, Bill
Deputy Chancellor for Educational Program & Support Services
Mr. Alexander has been with CTC since 1980, serving in leadership positions in student services, public information, human resources, guidance and counseling, distance learning and as Dean of CTC’s continental campus locations. He has been active in the Killeen and Copperas Cove communities, serving on numerous boards including CCISD and AUSA. Mr. Alexander holds a BA in Education and an M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Texas State University, along with additional graduate study in Higher Education Administration at Texas A&M.

Alexander, Wynona
Department Chair, Fine Arts
Chair of the Fine Arts Department since 1974. Holds Ph.D. from University of North Texas. Fullbright Scholar (Grant to study art in Europe). Has shown jewelry and assemblage art in various galleries and venues in US and abroad for the past 30 years

Anderson, James R.
Chancellor, Central Texas College
Economics Professor, Air Force Academy and Air University for over 7 years. Adjunct Professor, University of Maryland, Colorado State University and Troy University. Prior to joining CTC held all ranks in USAF from Airman to Colonel retiring in 1987. Awarded Doctoral Degree in Economics from Florida State University, Master of Science in Labor from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Michigan State University.

Anderson, Jan
Department Chair, English as a Second Language

Professor Jan Anderson has developed curriculum, trained instructors, and taught English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) classes for 28 years with CTC. Prior to joining CTC, she lived and worked in Germany as a Site Director for Big Bend Community College. She holds a M.S. from E. Stroudsburg State University and a B.S. from the University of Georgia. She also serves on the Killeen Sister Cities Executive Board

Chavez, Fred
Director, Mayborn Planetarium & Space Theater

Fred Chavez has worked at the Planetarium three years and served as planetarium director for the past two years. Prior to joining the planetarium, Mr. Chavez served seven years as an Air Force officer and spent eleven years in various secondary education administration positions. Mr. Chavez holds a BA in Political Science from Texas Tech and an MS in Education Administration from Texas State.

Cleaver, Jerrie Sue

Professor Cleaver has been with the CTC Office Technology Department for 20 years, teaching and developing traditional, self-paced, and online classes. Prior to coming to Central Texas, she directed medical facility health information management in Texas, Washington, Germany, and New Jersey for several years. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Central Texas, a bachelor’s from Baylor University, and is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

Professor, Social Science
Dr. Dyer received his B.A. and M.A. from Louisiana Tech, and his PhD from Texas A&M, with additional graduate studies at Sam Houston State University. Dr. Dyer has been with CTC since 1992, teaching history and government. He is actively involved in CTC’s Center for African American Studies and Research.

Producer/Educator, Mayborn Planetarium & Space Theater
Chuck has been active in the planetarium and laser display industries since the early 90s. His work has been shown in planetariums, theme parks, cruise ships, and corporate events around the world, and has resulted in numerous awards recognizing his creativity. Chuck now serves as the Producer/Educator at the Mayborn Planetarium & Space Theater, where he adapts and displays all manner of topics in the immersive theater environment.

Volle, Lisa
Professor, Professor of Anthropology & Modern Languages
Professor Volle has taught ESL, Spanish and anthropology classes for 20 years with CTC. Prior to joining CTC, she lived and/or worked in Spain, France and Honduras. She holds a PhD in Foreign Language Education from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in Foreign Languages from West Virginia University. She had conducted anthropological fieldwork with The University of Texas, Arlington for the National Park Service and attended the Congreso Internacional of Estudios Mayas in Copan Ruinas, Copan, Honduras. Her undergraduate degree is in International Studies from Juniata College, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Jim Yeonopolus has been with CTC for 35 years, serving in various positions culminating with his current position operating Navy, Pacific Far East, and Europe Campuses. Before joining Central Texas College, Mr. Yeonopolus completed a four-year tour of duty in the United States Air Force. Mr. Yeonopolus holds a M.Ed. degree from the University of Arizona; a BS degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University; and an AA degree from Temple Junior College.
