How Do I Get Started


Use the following checklist to guide you through the early admission process.

  • Meet with your high school counselor to determine which courses will fit in your schedule and graduation plan.
  • Complete CTC Application
    Fill out completely--ensure there are no blanks and it is signed and dated.
  • Complete Early Admissions Application link: Download Adobe Acrobat
    Fill out completely including signatures from a parent and a school official (i.e.; principal, counselor, registrar).
  • Transcript Submit an unofficial copy of transcript with the application. Request an official transcript be sent to:

  • District Forms Submit district forms--from your school Counselors' Office (Lead Counselors and PAC Counselors for each High Schoollink: Download Adobe Acrobat | LOCAL SCHOOLS OUTREACHlink: Download Adobe Acrobat)--which state clearly the class(es) you will take at CTC.
  • TAKS Scores Submit 11th grade TAKS scores, if you have them. If you have not taken the 11th grade TAKS, you must take an ASSET test.
  • SAT, ACT, or THEA Scores Submit SAT, ACT, or THEA scores if you have taken any of these tests.
    *All applicable information above must be included in your
    application packet before meeting with a counselor.
  • Turn in forms to your high school counselor for dual credit that you will take on your high school campus. For summer courses or other CTC courses, make an appointment with a counselor
