Central Texas College is happy to provide resources to promote a college-going culture to the youth of Central Texas. Whether you are looking for someone to speak about career exploration and college entrance or need information on dual credit and Fast Track opportunities, our staff is standing by to assist.
Career exploration is one of the first steps in gaining a student’s interest in attending college. Together, we can provide an atmosphere that allows our youth to realize college is attainable for everyone. Central Texas College has a staff dedicated to traveling to local schools and speaking on career and college interests.
Dual Credit provides students with some great opportunities and significant financial savings. Through the dual enrollment program, students can earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Because Texas has a common course numbering system, credit is easily transferred between community colleges like CTC and upper-level or four-year public institutions.
Dual Credit offers the following benefits:
· Expands academic options for college-bound high school students;
· Minimizes the duplication of courses taken in high school and college;
· Shortens the time required to complete an undergraduate degree; and
· Significantly reduces the cost of higher education.
Central Texas College can provide hands-on, one-on-one support to assist every student through each step of the college admissions process. We will walk your students through applying, testing, and financial aid--all on your high school campus.
When your students walk across the stage for their high school graduation, they will have a letter of acceptance from Central Texas College in hand and be ready to start the next chapter in life! They will not be obligated to attend CTC, but if CTC ends up being the right choice, they will be all set!
If you would like to begin the Fast Track Program on your campus, contact Jeffrey Pyeatt at (254) 526-1409 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The TSI Assessment is offered on a walk-in basis on CTC's campus. More information about the pre-assessment activity, times available, and fees can be found here.
Has your student taken an AP, IB, or an articulated course in high school? Have they completed a CLEP test? Click here for instructions on how to apply for consideration of credit upon successful completion of six CTC semester hours with grades of C or better.
