Transitions Program

The Transitions program is here to support the educational and career goals of Adult Education students in the GED preparation and English as a Second Language classes.  Students who meet the program's eligibility requirements  are encouraged to attend regularly scheduled transitions workshops and are encouraged to make an appointment for one-on-one advisement with the Transitions Coordinator.  All transition services are free and highly recommended.  Services include:

  • Applying
  • Choosing a school and area of study
  • Financial aid
  • Military benefits and grants/scholarships
  • Success skills, such as studying, test-taking, writing papers, and research

    Post Secondary Education Service

Career Counseling

  • Job search assistance
  • Help with applications
  • Resume/cover-letter writing
  • Interview skills
  • Networking techniques
  • Military preference benefits
  • Military enlistment
  • Other areas of transition-related advisement as needed
