Career and Technical Education

Career and Technology Education is a series of courses, combined with hands-on training, that prepares students for their chosen careers. The Texas State Comptrollers report in 2008 pointed out that job openings for skilled workers with associate degrees and certificates outpace the number of applicants, while supply far exceeds demand for graduates with bachelors' degrees.
