Career and Technical Education
Career and Technology Education is a series of courses, combined with hands-on training, that prepares students for their chosen careers. Community colleges throughout Texas, including Central Texas College, provide affordable, state-of-the-art training for jobs with a future after just one or two years.
Did you know that many of the highest demand occupations DO NOT require a four-year degree? The Texas State Comptrollers report in 2008 pointed out that job openings for skilled workers with associate degrees and certificates outpace the number of applicants, while supply far exceeds demand for graduates with bachelors' degrees.
