Endowed Scholarship in Media and Technology

The Central Texas College Foundation Endowed Scholarship in Media and Technology is given to a student who has an APPROVED DEGREE PLAN in one of the following which leads to an Associates Degree from Central Texas College: Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Aviation Science, Computer Science, Drafting/Design, Electronics, Industrial Technology or Telecommunications. Financial need shall be the first consideration. A student who receives this award must take a minimum of six (6) credit hours and maintain an overall GPA of 2.0 an each semester receive a GPA of 2.0 or better.

David H. O'Neall Endowed Scholarship

The David Henry O’Neall Memorial Endowed Scholarship is given to a student who has an APPROVED DEGREE PLAN in Aviation Science and a private pilot instrument ticket and is working towards an Associate Degree at Central Texas College. Financial need shall be the first consideration. Applicants must maintain an overall and semester GPA of 2.0 and register for a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester. This scholarship is good for flight courses only.

Diane and Ted Connell Endowed Scholarship in Aviation

The Diane and Ted Connell Aviation Scholarship is given to a student who is both a US Citizen and a sophomore student with an approved degree plan in Aviation Science from Central Texas College. To be selected for this scholarship, an applicant must have a minimum score of 3.0 on their current college transcript with financial need taken into consideration. This scholarship can be used for flight courses only. Applicants must maintain a semester and overall GPA of 3.0 and register for a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.

Jacob Lee Costa Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Aviation

The Jacob Lee Costa Memorial Endowed Scholarship is given to a student who has an APPROVED DEGREE PLAN leading to a degree in Aviation Science. All applicants must be both a U.S. Citizen and a freshman student. Applicants must have a minimum score of 3.0 on their high school transcripts and then, from that eligibility pool, the highest scoring student on the Financial Need ranking of the Foundation scholarship application system shall be awarded the scholarship. This scholarship can be used for flight courses, flight time, and all academic courses to complete the degree plan. A minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester must be maintained to qualify for this scholarship. Applicants must have a real desire for a career in aviation. This scholarship will not be awarded to anyone who is not 100% committed to this goal.

Sonny Hinchman Endowed Scholarship

The William “Sonny” Hinchman Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Aviation is given to a student who has an APPROVED DEGREE PLAN leading to an Associate in Aviation Science. Financial need will be a consideration for this scholarship. The recipient must maintain and GPA of 2.5 at all times. The recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester. Classes must be taken at the Central Texas College Central Campus in Killeen, Texas. This scholarship can be used for flight courses, flight time, and all academic courses to complete a Associate Degree in Aviation Science.

Whitis Technology Endowed Scholarship

The Weldon and Nancy Whitis Endowed Scholarship in Technology is given to a student who is in his/her second year and has an APPROVED DEGREE PLAN leading to an Associate Degree or Certificate from Central Texas College in one of the following fields of study: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration; Aviation Science; Computer Science; Drafting & Design; Electronics and Industrial Technology. Academic performance shall be the first consideration. Applicants must be a student in good standing with Central Texas College and have a semester and overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and take a minimum of six (6) credit hours each semester.

Installment payment plan

CTC now accepts installment payments from Texas-based students for 16-week fall and spring classes.

  • One half of tuition and fees must be paid at the time of registration and before the start of the semester. A promissory note must be executed for the balance with equal payments due before October 5 and November 5 for the fall semester or March 5 and April 5 for the spring semester.
  • All financial aid will be applied to the amount due before the multiple payment plan is offered.
  • A non-refundable fee of $20 will be assessed each semester for use of the plan. A late fee of $25 will be assessed on any payment not made before the due date.
  • Finance charges of 18 percent annually will be assessed on any account balance remaining after the final payment due date.
  • A student who fails to make full payment of tuition and fees including any incidental fees by the due date may be prohibited from registering for classes until full payment is made. A student who fails to make payment before the end of the semester will be denied credit for the work done that semester until full payment is made.
  • In the event of default on the installment plan, CTC has the right to employ a collection agency and/or any other legal means to collect this debt. The student will be required to reimburse CTC the fees of any collection agency which may be based upon a percentage at a maximum of 33% of the debt plus all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees that CTC may incur in such collection efforts.
  • The installment plan is not available to a student who registers during late registration.
