Business Administration and Management
Central Texas College offers a thorough background in the business administration and management fields. The varied areas of study encountered while pursuing a business degree from CTC include accounting, economics, and management. The knowledge gained in these courses will benefit the graduate both professionally and personally throughout their career.
CTC understands the needs of the business community, which enables us to offer a curriculum that will help graduates be successful in the business world.
Employment Outlook: Business management and business entrepreneur have been identified as occupations with excellent potential for growth and quality employment in the 21st century by both the Texas State Board of Education and the Central Texas Quality Workforce Planning Committee.
We offer over 20 degree and certificate programs that can be completed entirely online, or through a combination of in-classroom lecture classes offered during the day, in the evening, and on Saturdays and online or blended classes.
The Business Administration and Paralegal Department offers the following programs:
This program prepares students with workforce skills to perform the accounting and other necessary office management functions for small and mid-sized companies or fill bookkeeping and accounting clerical positions as members of larger office staffs. The coursework for the degree includes full charge bookkeeping, computerized accounting using QuickBooks, payroll accounting, Federal Tax reporting, business law, finance, and office management, as well as training with spreadsheets and core courses in English, government, and mathematics.

Prepares students for general management positions and provides appropriate course credits to facilitate the transfer into a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. The degree plan comprises 60 semester credit hours, of which 46-47 are in general education courses and 12-13 are in the business administration specialization.

Business Management-Real Estate Specialization
The real estate program provides fundamental information required to become a professional in the field of property management and sales. Topics include principles, financing, law, selling, and contracting. Upon successful completion of the state-required courses, the student is eligible to sit for the Texas Real Estate Sales Agent License exam. This degree program may lead to professional licensing, depending on your individual path and score on the Real Estate Salesperson Exam.
